“Much madness is divinest sense
to a discerning eye
much sense the starkest madness
tis the majority
in this as all prevail
assent and you are sane”
So the words above were written by Emily Dickinson. This quote basically mean that people can often make sense in their craziness. Their behavior has a purpose.
The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Claire has a character like this. This is an awesome story in which werewolves, vampires, warlocks, faeries, and shadowhunters (part angle demon-hunters) exist. Anyway, the main character Tessa, of whose supernatural origins are unknown, meets two shadowhunters named Will and Jem. Will is a strange character. To the others around him, he seems a bit mad. He fights for those he loves, but always does everything he can to make them hate him. He even goes as far as pretending to get drunk on a regular basis. Even though it seems crazy to do everything you can to make the people you love hate you, Will does all of this for a reason. His friends and family just do not know it.
The Infernal Devices is a great series! It has romance, comedy and adventure. It is also the prequel series to The Mortal Instruments, another favorite series of mine. You may have seen the movie. It was good, but the books are way better.
